We’re teaming up with Prince Lobo from Addis NOLA for a magical fire-kissed Ethiopian dinner at Margaret Place in New Orleans. We have dreaming this collaboration for over a year and we are so excited to bring it to you.
Tickets are $120/pp and include unlimited beer, wine and mocktails from Margaret Place.
50% of the food proceeds from the dinner will go to the Altadena Community Preservation Fund. The ACPF was created to help safeguard generational wealth for the diverse community that calls Altadena home. We have friends that lost their home and all of their earthly possessions in this fire and we would like to give back in this small way.
On the menu from the brainstorming of Mark and Prince we have:
Chargrilled Berbere Butter Oysters: Brightside oyster “uglies” grilled to perfection with yuzu pearls and delicious berbere shrimp butter.
Egusi Empanadas: Ethiopian pumpkin seed stew empanadas with a tomato salsita dusted in ash.
Tej & Watermelon: Palate cleanser of honey wine and grilled watermelon.
Fire Feast: A platter of abundance with injera as the vehicle and highlighted by lamb leg, whole pig, awaze, smoked cabbage, red lentils, pickled onion, lettuce and chimichurri. Think injera tacos.
Addis Coffee Ceremony + smoked ricotta pops.
